Spurgeon Student Scholarship

The Spurgeon Center offers a limited number of scholarships to students demonstrating exceptional promise in the practice of ministry. Spurgeon Student Scholars (recipients of the award) work closely with the Curator of the Spurgeon Library.

  • Students in residential Master of Divinity programs are priority recipients.
  • The scholarship award is $500 per semester.
  • Five scholarships are awarded each semester.
  • Priority deadline is July 1 (for Fall semester) and November 1 (for Spring Semester).

Spurgeon Student Scholars responsibilities:

  • One semester or one year.
  • Serve 2 to 5 hours per week with Spurgeon Curator and/or the Library though could change due to events and schedules. Minimum hours of service is 50 hours per semester.
  • Represent Midwestern and Spurgeon Library as Student Scholars.
